Thank You for Considering Volunteering at Heartland!
As a volunteer, you are helping Heartland Animal Shelter save thousands of unwanted cats and dogs, giving them the opportunity to find loving new homes. Your contribution of time and effort is greatly appreciated. Thank you for being a part of this important effort on behalf of companion animals. You are making a difference!
Volunteer Application - To become a new volunteer you must first complete a volunteer application which can be found HERE.
We request that all new volunteers attend a volunteer orientation. Click here for orientation times. Volunteer shifts may be scheduled from 9am-7pm during the weekdays and 9am-4pm on weekends. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
If you are 16 or 17 years of age then you will be required to have your parent or legal guardian attend the orientations with you and they must sign a minor release waiver form to proceed.
If you are interested in voluteering for Court Ordered Community service, please email prior to attending any orientation. There are additional special requirements that must be completed.
In efforts to help the animals at our shelter, please bring an item off our wish list upon your first orientation.
Hope to see you at the next orientation!
